This shows: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"4418\" data-end=\"4462\">that many children do not want to or dare to compete<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4465\" data-end=\"4516\">that children are rarely involved in competitive contexts<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4519\" data-end=\"4563\">that there are difficulties in engaging parents as volunteers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"4565\" data-end=\"4700\">The Nestl\u00e9 Games is a track and field competition created <strong data-start=\"1468\" data-end=\"1489\">by children, for children<\/strong>. By allowing the children themselves to plan a competition and focusing on participation rather than results, a more inclusive competitive environment is created. <\/p>\n<h5 data-start=\"1492\" data-end=\"1511\">The children have decided:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1514\" data-end=\"1538\">which events are included (traditional and\/or invented for the games)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1541\" data-end=\"1566\">which music is played<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"1592\">which refreshments are sold<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"1620\">whether there should be an announcer<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1623\" data-end=\"1645\">which prizes are awarded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5 data-start=\"1647\" data-end=\"1694\">This is not about winning, but about:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1697\" data-end=\"1719\">daring to try competing<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1722\" data-end=\"1742\">trying many events\u2014by collecting as many stickers as possible<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1745\" data-end=\"1768\">having fun together<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1770\" data-end=\"1829\">Parents serve as officials and help during the competition.
