Divide the children into smaller groups where they discuss a question related to the training or their own training group. It is easier to speak up in smaller groups and together find good focus areas to invest more time in to strengthen cohesion.
How it works:
- Form groups of approximately 4-5 children.
- Provide a question or discussion topic. For example “How am I a good teammate?”, “What do I find important when attending a training session?”.
- Allow 5-10 minutes for discussion.
- Each group shares one thing with the whole team—please write down what the groups came up with and keep it available for other occasions when the group meets.
A tip could be to discuss expectations for a competition or a cup, as well as any points the training group wishes to prioritize before and during the event.
