One child at a time gets to help plan a part of the training session together with the coaches.
How it works:
- Inform the participants that there is an opportunity to be involved in planning a training session, to find out who is interested in trying it out.
- Inform the participant in advance to select an exercise for the upcoming training session, preferably a warm-up or closing activity, that they would like to conduct.
- Meet the child 5-10 minutes before training starts and check in with them about how they feel. Are there any questions they have?
- The child gets to present their choice to the group and lead the activity (with support from you as coaches). Let the child finish speaking and demonstrate; if something needs clarification, ask the child instead of telling them what to do. If other children ask about the execution, refer them to the participant leading the exercise.
