Once a month, the children get to vote on which exercise will be the “Exercise of the Month” and will be used extra often.
How it works:
- Present 3–4 exercises that the children are familiar with.
- Let the children vote for the exercise they want to do more of by raising their hands, or have them write their preference on a slip of paper (you can assign each exercise a number to make writing easier).
- The exercise that receives the most votes becomes the “Exercise of the Month”.
- Do that exercise, for example, once a week during that month. Feel free to involve one of the children to lead the exercise and demonstrate.
A tip is to use it as a lifeline and more spontaneously when the training group’s energy starts to run low.
